M.S. Graduate

August 2026

I am happy to announce that I have officially graduated from my master's program at UGA, in crop and soil sciences with a focus in soil science. I am incredibly grateful to my department, lab mates, cohort, and faculty for their help throughout my degree.

M.S. Thesis Defense

May 2026

On May 28th, I successfully defended my master's thesis at UGA, titled "Exploring Soils in the Agricultural Southeastern Coastal Plain: An Analysis of Taxonomy, Management, and Sampling Strategy".

Thank you to my committee, PI, lab team, and cohort for helping me every step of the way. I am incredibly grateful to have had this opportunity.

IALE 2026 Poster Session

April 2026

I am excited to have shared my weed-soil landscape interaction research at the International Association of Landscape Ecology 2026 North American Conference. I presented our findings on topographic and soil property relations to weed groupings. Additionally, I shared some preliminary research on human-disturbance and weed grouping connections, with sedges (Cyperaceae) being spatially linked to highly disturbed areas of an agricultural field.

CANVAS 2025 Presentation

November 2025

I had the opportunity to present my research, "Comparing Geostatistical and Machine Learning Modeling for the Creation of Soil Nutrient Management Zones in the Southeastern Coastal Plains", at the November 2025 CANVAS conference. I spoke on my findings in comparing geostatistical and machine learning techniques, as well as sampling methodology in the production of soil nutrient management zones in the Southeastern Coastal Plain. This was an amazing opportunity to have as my first international conference, and I am very grateful to be able to present.

Fieldwork in Perry, GA

April 2025

Excited to share that our lab's field work on the UGA Grand Farm Perry, Ga site has come to an end! After almost 2 years of day trips, the field has been completed for the collection of 75 soil samples. It was an incredibly rewarding experience that resulted in learning many new skills and techniques.
